IPS would like to appoint a Research Analyst/Senior Research Analyst, on a two-year contract, at its Social Lab. This role will support the Head of the Social Lab in survey project management, conduct research and provide high-quality and rigorous analyses.


For the Senior Research Analyst role, candidates should have some leadership experience and a postgraduate degree in either the Social Sciences, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or Statistics.

IPS would like to appoint a Project Associate for QC Operations at its Social Lab. This new role will be responsible for assisting the QC Manager in managing audit checks on survey projects. The selected candidate will perform quality control (QC) checks and audits on interviewers through various channels, and ensure data has been collected in accordance to project specifications. The candidate should have proven interpersonal and be competent in English and one or more of the following languages – Chinese, Malay or Tamil.

This new role will take charge of projects assigned, and be responsible for both the fieldwork and data management of the project. The role will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager in executing fieldwork duties for research projects. The selected candidate will manage a team of interviewers, ensuring high quality and timely data collection. The candidate must be skilled in team motivation and leadership, have the ability to cope with pressure and tight timelines, and be competent in English and one or more of the following languages – Chinese, Malay or Tamil.

IPS would like to appoint a Project Manager, Operations for its Social Lab. This new role will take charge of projects assigned, and be responsible for both the fieldwork and data management of the project. The role will lead a team of fieldwork, quality control and support staff to manage face-to-face customised research. The candidate is expected to have demonstrated ability in research project management, and strong planning and organisational skills, preferably with at least 10 years’ working experience.

IPS is seeking to hire an Interviewer on a part-time or full-time basis. The Interviewer will be responsible for conducting face-to-face interviews and surveys in a door-to-door setting, for fieldwork projects by IPS. The candidate should be tactful and able to exercise good judgement in engaging potential interviewees, as well as open to learning and using new technology. Training will be provided. This position is available for both full-time and part-time employment.

IPS offers paid internships in its different research clusters. Interns will need to assist IPS researchers with data collection, note-taking and administrative tasks. They can expect to gain a deeper understanding of the issues that impact policymaking and benefit from activities that can help to build their knowledge and skill sets.
