The LKY School is always at the forefront of our recruitment for interns. We have had high caliber students from the School interning at the APEC Policy Support Unit where they were able to make a genuine contribution to our research projects. On top of that, we are supported by a wonderful team at Career Services.

Venkat Bhargav Sreedhara
Venkat Bhargav Sreedhara far exceeded our expectations and became an integral member of the team in his 2-month internship with us. His excellent analytical and communication skills helped the team to undertake reviews of knowledge projects of ADB. His pleasant personality and "can-do" attitude enabled us to assign him tasks that went beyond his original scope of work. We wish him the very best for his future endeavors.

Gambhir Bhatta, Advisor, Sustainable Development and Climate Change Department; and Chief of the Knowledge Advisory Services Center, Asian Development Bank

Carlos Kuriyama
Raphael Yeo did a wonderful job as an intern in 2018 at the APEC Policy Support Unit. In fact, his contributions exceeded what interns usually do. Raphael was a co-author of a report examining free trade agreements, in which he made a comprehensive analysis of the impact of investor-state dispute settlement clauses in the APEC region.

Willem Punt
Nabila Ferdous was a very valuable team member at the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue (HD). The work at HD is characterized by unexpected events and political pressure and employees are expected to switch gears easily, prioritize, travel abroad on short notice and work independently to achieve our goals. In this turbulent work-environment, Nabila proved to be both very capable and willing to jump in where help was needed. She has strong social skills, writes well, has a strong political radar and knows how to get things done with minimum supervision. She has a strong sense of initiative and anticipates well where she would be of most use for our team.

Willem Punt, Project Manager and Internship Supervisor, Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue

Shakilla Shahjihan
Akanksha delivered work on time, sought clarification when required and took feedback well. She had a positive attitude and showed keen interest in learning. She was a diligent worker with a good attitude and exceeded my expectations. Well Done!

Shakilla Shahjihan, Divisional Vice President, Government Affairs, Asia Pacific & Japan, Abbott Laboratories, Singapore
