The Community Fellows - Adrian Tan

Adrian TAN is the Co-Founder of SG Assist, a social enterprise with a mission to build a sustainable ecosystem of care centred around the community and promulgate the "kampung spirit" through mobile technology. SG Assist has created a digital app to connect community volunteers to seniors and people with disabilities in the neighbourhood who require assistance, as well as set up a call centre to assist caregivers. SG Assist is also part of Core Action Team of the Alliance for Action for Caregivers of Persons with Disabilities.

Adrian will co-design and co-implement a timebank with IPS, social service agency partners and the community of users, for a pilot policy experiment under the IPS Policy Lab. He will also study and evaluate the effects of the pilot timebank and the potential for time-banking to encourage volunteerism or mutual aid in Singapore.
