Study on the Role of Public Universities in Society

Public universities have a significant role to play in shaping social and economic trajectories. This study seeks to examine how various groups in society perceive the role of public universities in nurturing talent, fulfilling present and future economic needs, cultivating thought leadership, fostering social change, and inculcating values.

To achieve a robust and comprehensive understanding of the diverse issues, the study adopts a mixed methods approach comprising focus group discussions, household surveys, and online surveys. Key demographic groups such as students, employers, and the general public will be invited to share their views on the role of public universities in society through the various research methodologies.
