Synopsis
The Indicators of Racial and Religious Harmony is a joint project of the Institute of Policy Studies and OnePeople.sg. It provides a sensing of Singaporean attitudes on race and religion on a number of dimensions. These include comfort with diversity, intercultural understanding, inter-racial and religious friendships and perceptions of inter-racial and religious tension, discrimination and exclusion. The ten indicators that will be presented are based on the results of a recently completed survey conducted on a representative sample of over 3000 Singaporean Residents and an additional sample of 1000 minorities.
