The FRN forum is an initiative to bring together a network of academics, researchers and policy-makers to engage in regular discussions on family research through a series of closed-door sessions.
The theme for this forum focuses on the roles of working women in the Singapore family. The presentations will examine how gender roles and work-life practices affect the division of unpaid work in the household and how work-family balance policies can shape the family formation decisions of working women. It will also look at some comparative research on aspects of the family that affects a woman’s ability to be successful and how the family supports the working woman.
Beyond information sharing, a major goal of the forum is to stimulate ideas for research as well as policies and programmes to assist stakeholders in their work. We look forward to your active participation in the forum.
