Join us to discover new innovative perspectives and solutions at Homelessness Learning Forum (HLF) 2023. This year’s forum cum Partners Engaging and Empowering Rough Sleepers (PEERS) and Vulnerable-In-Community (VIC) Network Appreciation Event 2023 is jointly organised by New Hope Community Services, the Ministry of Social and Family Development, and our esteemed partners in the homelessness sector.
This year’s HLF theme is Rethinking Shelter. A key development of the COVID-19 pandemic has been the rapid expansion of shelter services across our city-state to cater for increasing shelter demand for the rough sleepers.
Even as we celebrate the good work that has been done in the past, HLF 2023 aims to bring together social service professionals, partners, and individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of the homeless community and explore how can we improve the shelter system in Singapore to cope with the differing needs of the homeless. We want to challenge conventional notions of shelter and reimagine the philosophy of care. With a focus on enhancing human connections and building a sense of home, let us co-create solutions that address the holistic needs of the homeless. Together, we can pave the way for improved long-term housing solutions to better prevent homelessness.
Before the main forum, embark on a learning journey from 17 to 19 August 2023 to gain first-hand insights from service practitioners and individuals with lived experiences of homelessness. Visit and engage with our partners in places serving the homeless in Singapore, including Safe Sound Sleeping Places (S3Ps), and Interim Shelters/ Transitional Shelters.
