Social Service Research Network: “Building a Conducive Ecosystem for Research in the Social Service Sector: From Findings to Solutions”

The objectives of the network are to:

1. Discuss how to coordinate and mobilise different research efforts, expertise and resources from academics, practitioners and policy makers to seek and improve solutions for the social service sector
2. Explore how to bridge the gaps between research and practice, to put findings to actions, and the implications on policy and practice
   

The theme for this session is “Building a Conducive Ecosystem for Research in the Social Service Sector: From Findings to Solutions”.

There will be two panels. The first will examine the landscape of research in the social service sector and the second panel will discuss how research can be translated to practice.

Panelists will include representatives from academic institutions, research centres, funding agencies and social service agencies.

There will be ample time for discussion. Views put forward during the session will be collected and subsequently published.
