Singapore’s ambitions for advancing Artificial Intelligence (AI) have accelerated significantly over the past year. The National AI Council, chaired by Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, was established in February 2026 to provide strategic direction and in May 2026, Minister Josephine Teo unveiled refreshed priorities under the National AI Strategy, spanning sectoral transformation, mainstreaming AI adoption and workforce readiness as well as building Singapore as an AI hub.
As AI becomes increasingly embedded into work and everyday life, pressing questions about workforce displacement, cybersecurity threats, responsible data governance and maintaining public trust emerge. With such challenges requiring a coordinated, whole-of-society response, how does Singapore plan to navigate them, and how will our approach strengthen the nation’s position in an increasingly competitive global AI landscape?
Join our speakers as they share their perspectives on how Singapore can stay ahead as AI continues to reshape how we live and work. The session will be moderated by Professor Aaron Maniam, Deputy Director at IPS and Professor in Practice at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy.
This event is organised exclusively for the IPS Corporate Associates Programme and is by invitation only. To learn more about the Programme, please visit our information page here.
