Study on Wake Spaces

Synopsis:

In light of an ageing population and increasing demands for After-Death Facilities and Services (ADFS), this Study on Wake Spaces seeks to examine the attitudes of Singaporeans towards wakes, death, and ADFS. The scope of the study includes understanding the social norms and practices for wakes held in various spaces, such as community spaces within HDB estates, funeral parlours, religious institutions, and private housing estates.

If you have received an Invitation Letter in your mailbox, or directly from an Institute of Policy Studies Social Lab surveyor regarding the Study on Wake Spaces, we warmly invite you to participate in the surveys and interviews, which will take place from July 2023 thru March 2024 (estimated).
