STUDY ON GAUGING RETURNS ON WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT (GROW)

Synopsis:

This longitudinal panel study seeks to understand how Singaporeans participate in, benefit from, and perceive continuing education and training (CET) over time. It aims to systematically track individuals’ learning behaviours, motivations, and outcomes over a period of five years to allow policymakers to better understand and address barriers to participation in lifelong learning, career resilience, and other employment-related challenges. To complement the quantitative findings, Social Lab will also conduct focus group discussions and/or in-depth interviews with selected survey respondents following the quantitative fieldwork.

Fieldwork and data collection for the study will last from July 2026 through January 2031. If you have received an invitation letter (printed on NUS letterhead) or are approached by an Institute of Policy Studies Social Lab surveyor during this period, we warmly invite you to participate in the survey.
