Conducted by the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) in collaboration with the Central Provident Fund Board (CPFB), this study aims to address these gaps by identifying a range of retirement lifestyle profiles in Singapore, grounded in actual lived experiences and expenditure patterns. While this qualitative study is not intended to establish population-representative lifestyle profiles or validated standards, it can provide insights into how retirees think about and experience retirement. We aim to surface illustrative lifestyle profiles and examples that could support Singaporeans in visualising different retirement possibilities and the role that retirement income may play in supporting them.
