The Asia Competitiveness Institute (ACI) welcomed a delegation from the Power Transformation Lab, University of California San Diego (UCSD), for a research visit and exchange of ideas on 13 July 2026.
Discussions covered clean energy systems in Asia-Pacific, with particular focus on clean energy technology supply chains, energy transition policies, power systems modelling for the ASEAN Power Grid, and knowledge-sharing on existing databases and data gaps.
The visit identified opportunities for further research collaboration between ACI and the Power Transformation Lab, particularly on the ASEAN Power Grid and on trade and investment issues in clean energy technology supply chains. ACI looks forward to continued dialogue and collaboration with the Power Transformation Lab on clean energy systems in Asia.
