Located in Singapore, the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy is at the heart of one of the best public policy laboratories in the world.

SFPS

SFPSLee Kuan Yew Senior Fellowship in Public Service

Class Profile

Senior leaders who hail from diverse backgrounds in the public, private and non-profit sectors with a strong passion for inspiring positive changes globally.

Curriculum

The programme comprises of four core clusters and four deep dive sessions conducted by our faculty members.

Admissions Criteria

Senior leaders in government, non-profit and private organisations. Within 3 levels from their organisation’s highest ranking officer.

Special Guest Speakers

Some of the best minds from the private and public sector are invited to share their knowledge and experience. These speakers include political leaders, senior civil servants, corporate CEOs, and more.

MIA

MIAMaster in International Affairs

Class Profile

The Master in International Affairs class comprise about 30 students from diverse academic and professional backgrounds, all with a keen interest in global affairs and Asia.

Curriculum

A notable feature of the programme is its Asia-focused curriculum, considering the inter-linked nature of the world economy and Asia’s rising influence in it.

Internships and Career Opportunities

The School actively engages leading think-tanks, consulting firms, multilateral institutions and not-for-profit organisations to facilitate internships.

Admissions Criteria

Applicants seeking admission to the programme must possess a good Bachelors (Honours – second class and above) degree or its equivalent.

MPP

MPPMaster in Public Policy

Class Profile

Coming from more than 20 countries around the world, our MPP cohorts are drawn from the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.

Curriculum

The MPP curriculum draws from the disciplines of economics, political science and public management and is complemented by a wide range of specialisation modules and electives.

Policy Analysis Exercise

MPP students will need to apply the knowledge and skills that they have learnt in the MPP programme to define and analyse policy issues, evaluate existing programmes, formulate and assess policy options and develop specific, actionable recommendations for the client organisations.

Admissions Criteria

2 to 5 years of work experience is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate maturity and commitment towards the public service.

MPA

MPAMaster in Public Administration

Class Profile

Each MPA class comprises around 40–60 students from about 20 countries. Students are typically senior managers from the public and not-for-profit sectors as well as multilateral organisations.

Curriculum

MPA students will be required to complete 40 Modular Credits and obtain at least a Cumulative Average Point (CAP) of 3.0.

Governance Study Project

MPA students will have to undertake a year-long Governance Study Project, which consists of a study trip to a neighbouring country and a student conference.

Admissions Criteria

Applicants should have attained mid-level managerial position in their career stage. They aspire to management roles and demonstrate commitment towards public service. Proficiency in written and spoken English is a must.

PHD

PHDPhD in Public Policy

Class Profile

Generous scholarships, in addition to access to a range of teaching and research assistantships, are available. Admission to this programme is highly competitive. Only about 5 – 8 candidates are admitted every year.

Curriculum

PhD students are expected to complete the programme in 4 years, and must complete all core modules assigned, and a PhD qualifying examination and a dissertation.

Tuition Fees & Financial Aids

Subsidy is available for International Students and Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents. There are also financial aids in the forms of scholarships.

Admissions Criteria

The PhD in Public Policy programme is a very competitive programme, where only a handful of students, typically 6 – 8 a year, from more than 100 applicants will be selected.
