Visit by delegation from Nigerian Institute of International Affairs

ACI welcomed Her Excellency, Ambassador Ms Francisca Kemi Omayuli from the Nigeria High Commission and a group of delegates led by Professor Eghosa Emmanuel Osaghae, Director General of Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA) on 23 September 2025.

The meeting between ACI and NIIA was centered on the theme of “Towards an Increased Foreign Direct Investment for a Prosperous Economy”. During the meeting, ACI representatives shared about the institute’s flagship projects, including the various sub-national competitiveness analyses of the neighbouring economies, as well as recent FDI dynamics of ASEAN. Meanwhile, representatives from NIIA shared about the country’s blue economy and digital economy development and discussed the recent bilateral collaborations between Nigeria and Singapore, including the Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT) that has just entered into force in August 2025.

Toward the end of the meeting, Ambassador Ms Francisca Kemi Omayuli expressed a strong interest in concluding an MOU with ACI for future collaboration.
