Han Zhihao is a Research Fellow at the Asia Competitiveness Institute, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. He holds a PhD in Economics from National University of Singapore, a Master of Arts in Economics from Duke University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with highest distinction from Nankai University. His research lies in environmental and energy economics and spans three closely connected areas: engaging consumers in the green transition of the transportation sector; evaluating the impact of environmental regulation on emerging energy-intensive industries such as AI and cryptocurrency; and quantifying the housing and public health consequences of environmental externalities. Across these strands, he aims to generate policy-relevant evidence on how societies build public support for cleaner technologies and environmental policies to accelerate decarbonization.
