The talk will be on the historical and geographical origins of institutional governance and its evolution in the Mekong, zeroing on major powers’ rivalries and interventions and their impacts on the Mekong, and what will the future Mekong and broader ASEAN region look like given the relations between the Mekong River Commission, ASEAN, China and the United States.
