Untangling the impacts of the US-China Trade War

This session will provide a multidisciplinary analysis of the US-China trade war, offering perspectives from economics, geography, and international relations, with a special focus on the impacts on the Southeast Asia. Sanjana Goswami, an economist, will cover the timeline of the trade conflict and known economic effects of the trade war, Wei Luo, a geographer, will highlight geographical shifts in trade flows, and Kevin Chen, an international relations specialist, will provide a geopolitical perspective. This session aims to combine these perspectives to provide an understanding of the multifaceted impacts of the US-China trade war.
