‘Teardrop Diplomacy’: Sri Lanka’s Political-Economic Crisis

The discussion will be focused on Sri Lanka’s present political-economic crisis. The analysis captured in the new book, Teardrop Diplomacy published by Bloomsbury will be discussed, attempting to draw a better understanding of the underlying political and social distress in everyday life in Sri Lanka and what brought the fragile state to this political and economic disaster within a short period of three years. This is a lesson for many developing nations, especially those under debt-distress in the post-pandemic environment.

Teardrop Diplomacy, will be on sale during the event ($25). Only cash payments will be accepted.
