The Singapore Alumni Chapter recently formed the 2nd Chapter Committee, headed by Johannes Loh (MPP 2010), and supported by Martin Stavenhagen (MPP 2010), Magnus Young (MPP 2010) and Abhesh Kumar (MPA 2013). Both the new and outgoing committees met up on a Friday evening to ensure a proper handover, which then spiralled into a night of catch-up.
The new Chapter Committee held a kick-off event on the rooftop of Marina Barrage, inviting all Singapore-based alumni and the School’s current batch of students. The event was extremely well attended and everyone enjoyed themselves — not to mention, there were plenty of sausages, kegs of beer and of course, a splendid view!
The committee hopes to bring about more integration across alumni from different years and programmes, and to include current students in more activities. They will also look out for opportunities to learn about other alumni and leverage on the professional networks.
Do keep a lookout for upcoming activities planned by the Singapore Alumni Chapter Committee – they have plans for quarterly alumni drinks, social and cultural events, and most importantly, an exclusive Alumni weekend getaway to Bintan in the month of May 2016!
