新加坡国大上海校友会会长、李光耀公共政策学院上海校友会副会长耿靖博士递交感谢信,感谢王宗翰先生对校友会工作的关心、支持和帮助。他说,王宗翰先生上海任职期间,通过与校友的积极互动,相互间建立了深厚珍贵的友谊,这也促进了新加坡方面与上海乃至整个中国的友好交流与合作。

王宗翰先生回国后将担任新加坡外交部外交学院副司长。与会的校友代表还与刘俐玲女士作了沟通交流,希望今后加强交流,发挥好校友会及校友“民间大使”的作用。

LKYSPP Shanghai Alumni bid farewell to Mr. Philip Ong and welcome his successor Ms. Liew Li Lin 

On Nov 3 evening, LKYSPP Shanghai alumni representatives were invited to a reception to bid farewell to Mr. Philip Ong, Deputy Consul-General of Singapore in Shanghai, and to welcome his successor Ms. Liew Li Lin. Mr. Loh Tuck Wai, Consul-General of Singapore in Shanghai, was present and delivered remarks.

In a written letter, Dr. Geng Jing, President of NUS Alumni Shanghai Chapter, and Vice President of LKYSPP Shanghai Alumni Club, thanked Mr. Philip for his kind attention and support when he served as Deputy Consul-General in Shanghai. Dr. Geng said that through mutual exchanges and active interaction, many alumni members have established deep and precious friendship with Philip, which promotes the friendly exchanges and cooperation between Singapore and Shanghai as well as the whole of China.

On behalf of Shanghai alumni, Mr. Zhu Jianhao, VP of LKYSPP Shanghai Alumni Club, and Mr. Guo Xiaoyong, Council member of LKYSPP Shanghai Alumni Club, presented to Mr. Philip Ong a "Shanghai 1934" silk painting and a greeting card signed by alumni representatives.

After coming back to Singapore, Mr. Philip Ong will be the Deputy Director of the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs Diplomatic Academy. Alumni representatives also discussed with Ms. Liew Li Lin on future cooperation and how alumni could better serve as “civil ambassadors”.
