Second Family Research Network (FRN) Forum on "Empowering Vulnerable Families"

This forum is the second in the series of FRN forums announced by the Minister of State (MSF), Mrs Yu-Foo Yee Shoon when she launched the Family Research Network (FRN) on 18 September 2008.

The current forum focuses on vulnerable families. The forum looks at the policies and programmes in place to address the needs and challenges faced by such families, share on the ground experiences in the delivery of services to these families, as well as, explore new policy and research initiatives. Participants for this forum will include academics, policy makers and social service providers.

Beyond information sharing, a major goal of the forum is to stimulate ideas for enhancing evidence-based policy through research to assist families in vulnerable situations.
