On 11th January 2020, the Singapore Consulate-General in Shanghai hosted the annual Open House and Charity Fair. Mr Lui Tuck Yew, Singapore’s Ambassador to China and Consul-General Mr Loh Tuck Wai attended the event and delivered their welcoming remarks. The Open House 2020 took the theme of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of China-Singapore diplomatic relations. It was successfully co-organised by the Singapore Consulate-General in Shanghai, SingChan Shanghai Branch and Singapore Global Network. The donations collected at the Charity Fair will be invested in poverty relief projects in Pengshui County, Chongqing. During the event, NUS alumni, SingChan members and NTU alumni fondly recalled their days in Singapore. Everyone joined hands to offer love and care to people in need, strengthening the deep bond of friendship and enhancing the people-to-people connections between China and Singapore during the remarkable three decades of formal relations.
