Lifelong Learning: Lessons from Europe

The concept of lifelong learning has become widely accepted in Asia and in Singapore. Adults are now encouraged to return to their books and to learn new things not just for their careers but also for personal enrichment. 

Does lifelong learning require a different pedagogy? What has been the experience in Europe? How have people benefitted from lifelong learning and what might be the lessons for Singapore?
