The NUS Day of Service is a day when the whole NUS family comes together to give back to the community through service and action. This event reinforces NUS' strong tradition of serving and contributing to our country and society.

In support of NUS Day of Service, Indonesia Alumni Chapter raised funds to donate a laptop, a printer, and books to Panti Muslimin Jaya, a girls orphanage in South Jakarta. The Chapter also organised a visit to share knowledge and skills to prepare the future with beneficiaries of the orphanage on 9 September 2017.

The Chapter held a two-hour session geared to help beneficiaries prepare for their future. They provided 1) a workshop for job-seeking for SMK (vocational school) students and, 2) for those in SD (primary school) and SMP (secondary school), a fun & interactive session on study skills.
