Future of Politics in the United States

Cities are the new hotbeds of innovation. San Francisco, like many other cities, faces major challenges, including in the areas of Education, Public Safety, and Government Services. Jim Green, SVP of Government Affairs and Public Policy, will speak at a fireside chat with Professor Ashish Lall, Associate Professor of the LKY School of Public Policy. A veteran of four presidential campaigns and founder of Tech4America, Jim is now a year and a half into his tenure at Salesforce, a company branded by Forbes as the most innovative company in the world four years running, During this off-the-record talk, Jim will share his thoughts about the current state of the U.S. political process, the role the private sector can play in philanthropy and in social justice, and what impact he believes Technology will have in fulfilling the potential of cities.
