CAREERS IN DEVELOPMENT BANKS

The LKYSPP Career Services and Alumni Relations Team, organises this event, in collaboration with our student leaders, championing the LKYSPP Careers Community initiative.  The virtual event will begin with a panel discussion at 12 noon (Singapore time), followed by two rounds of speed networking in Zoom breakout rooms from 1.00 to 2.00pm. 

Synopsis

Keen in a career in development banks, but not sure where to start? Have you ever wondered what it is like to work for The World Bank Group or another multilateral development bank? Unsure how someone with a public policy or international affairs background can make it in a world full of experienced hires, vying for the highly coveted Young Professional Programme (YPP)?  After securing a foothold in a development bank, what can you do to build a successful and sustainable career within the bank?

Our virtual panel discussion will delve into the different types of work one can do in a development bank, both from the public and private sector management arena. What is the relevant experience required and how to acquire it? It will also uncover some personal career journeys into the dynamic and fulfilling world of international development.
