Cambodia Chapter – Alumni Dialogue and Lunch

On 19 August 2017, Cambodia Chapter organized a dialogue on “Four Angles of Leadership: Dialogue on Different Paths of Leadership Experience”. The dialogue was moderated by President of Cambodia Chapter Hor Serey Vath (MPA 2012) and featured the following alumni speakers:

Prum Sokha (MPM 2001) – Secretary of State, Ministry of Interior

Kim Rithy (MPM 2012) – Vice Governor, Kandal Province

Romdoul May (MPA 2007) – Cambodia In-Country Consultant, Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE)

Nay Chhuon (MPP 2000) – Country Manager, AECOM

The dialogue was attended by LKY School Alumni and members of the public. H.E. Michael Tan (Singapore Ambassador to Cambodia) and Dr. Chhem Rethy (Executive Director, Cambodia Development Research Institute) graced the event as Guests of Honour.

The dialogue centered on how the speakers’ experience at LKY School had helped them in their leadership career. Other topics that were discussed included the impact of e-government and web 2.0 on Cambodia; Cambodia’s youth population and its challenges; migration and its effect on the rural population; the need to bring back agriculture; public administration reform; the role of NGOs and the business sector; and the impact of social networking.

The dialogue was then followed by Alumni lunch and networking event.
