On 28 February 2015, Prof Kanti Bajpai, Prof Vu Minh Khuong and Ms Joyce Cuff from the Admissions team had the opportunity to meet up with our Vietnamese LKY School alumni over dinner at the Au Lac Restaurant on their recent admissions trip to Hanoi.
Much was discussed over the course of an excellent dinner as Prof Kanti Bajpai updated the alumni on some of the developments in the school. Among them were news on the new MIA programme, the strengthening of the modules with international trade, finance and security subjects, as well as other challenges faced by the school.
The alumni then provided some feedback on key areas for the school’s improvements. One idea was to have alumni coming back to the LKY School to inspire the current students, which could be done through mentoring or career talks. They also noted that they would like to see more topics on regional law, more Asian case studies, benchmarking systems and lessons learnt from the private sector. Lastly, they also graciously offered their help on the current students’ Policy Analysis Exercise (PAE) projects.
The night concluded with lots of meaningful ideas and feedback, as the team and alumni were certainly happy for this platform to reconnect with each other and the School.
