On 22 August 2015, the LKY School Alumni Relations Office and the school’s India Alumni Chapter Committee organised a reunion lunch in New Delhi. 20 alumni attended the event, mostly from the Classes of 2011 to 2015, representing many different programmes. Most of the alumni are now working in the public sector, including in the Ministry of Finance and Indian Revenue Service. Others hold positions in NGOs such as the Hindu Centre for Politics and Public Policy, in large private-sector firms or in the media.
Alumni got the chance to catch up with Chapter President, Ms Vineeta Hariharan (MPA 2011) and the LKY School’s Alumni Relations Office, represented by Mr Bernard Lee.
To boost participation in Chapter initiatives, the Chapter and the Alumni Relations Office came up with a game plan. In particular, the Chapter will roll out a series of events to draw in former students. Apart from a charity and social event, its calendar will be headlined by a dialogue on governance, with the cooperation of the Singapore High Commission. Other plans are under way to broaden the Chapter’s reach among former students. Recent graduates from the Master in Public Policy (MPP) programme have been particularly involved in its activities, the Chapter will endeavour to encourage alumni from a wider range of programmes and graduating years.
