Mr Chuin Wei Yap is a non-resident Senior Research Fellow with the
Centre on Asia and Globalisation and the program director for Hinrich
Foundation‘s international trade research. He leads the Foundation’s
development of original research content including analysis and insights
across global trade. He was previously a journalist in the US and Asia
with The Wall Street Journal. He also held positions during his career
across Singapore’s Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Trade and Industry,
and Ministry of Finance.
Mr Yap holds degrees in history from Oxford University and international affairs from Columbia University.
