Mr Chivy Li is the Associate Director of Government Relations and Strategic Projects at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. He oversees the development of strategic partnerships as well as management of cross-departmental strategic projects.
Before joining the School, Chivy spent 16 years as a Foreign Service Officer in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). He was Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Singapore in Berlin, Germany (2011-2015) and First Secretary (Political) at the Embassy of Singapore in Washington DC (2004-2007). In MFA HQ, he was Special Assistant to the Minister for Foreign Affairs (2008) and worked in several political directorates. Awarded the Singapore Government Scholarship in 1993, Chivy studied Mechanical Engineering at the Technische Universität München in Munich, Germany. He later obtained a Master’s degree in International Relations from Peking University on a Singapore-China Premier Scholarship.
