Manager

Sakunika Wewalaarachchi is Manager in the Social Lab Planning and Development department at the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS). She holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree (with Honours) in Sociology from the National University of Singapore (NUS). In 2015, she was awarded the Chng Heng Lay Memorial Prize for her Honours Dissertation on issues of gender and family in Singapore. 

Prior to joining IPS in 2019, she served as a full-time Research Assistant for the Department of Sociology in NUS for three years and as a Graduate Fellow of Tembusu College (NUS) for the period of one year. 

She is proficient in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies including parametric as well as non-parametric statistics.
