Immigration Passes

NUS will conduct a student pass and entry visa exercise for all new students at the end of May via the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) E-Service system.

Once you have submitted the eForm 16, it will take about 2 weeks for the form to be processed. Student passes that require further administrative processing will require a longer period for approval.

Employment for Students

International students with a valid student pass are allowed to work up to 16 hours per week (part‐time) during NUS term time. Coursework students can work an unlimited number of hours during NUS vacation time.

Scholars are not allowed to undertake any employment without the approval of the School.
