Zeewan’s primary research lies at the intersection of economics of aging and labor. Zeewan is interested in individuals' labor supply decisions in the face of population aging. Specifically, Zeewan conducts applied microeconomics research on the institutional and non-institutional factors that shape aging individuals' work and retirement decisions. In doing so, Zeewan focuses on the role of technological changes, skills, pension/Social Security, and immigration.
At LKYSPP, Zeewan teaches Labour Economics and Public Policy, Economics of Ageing, and Technological Changes and Work. Zeewan obtained her Ph.D. in Public Policy and Management (Econ and Pubpol) at Sol Price School of Public Policy, University of Southern California, in 2020.
