HAN Dan's current research focuses on health care provider behavior and clinical decision making, prescription drug policies, and maternal and child health. Some of her recent work examines changes in obstetric and neonatal provider practice following a severe childbirth event, behavioral barriers to quality postpartum care in Kenya, primary care provider knowledge and practice performance in Cambodia, and the effect of state prescription drug purchasing pools in the US.

Dan received her PhD from the Pardee RAND Graduate School and MPA from the New York University Wagner School. She was a visiting graduate student at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health before transitioning into her postdoctoral fellow position in the same department. Dan also worked as a World Bank consultant while pursuing her doctoral degree.
