Zhanibek Arynov is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. He holds a PhD in International Relations from the University of St. Andrews, UK. His research focuses on the geopolitics of Central Eurasia, examining the dynamics of competition and cooperation among key players such as Russia, China, the European Union, and Central Asian countries.

Currently, Zhanibek is engaged in several research projects exploring regional organisations, including the Eurasian Economic Union, the Collective Security Treaty Organisation, and the Organisation of Turkic States. His work seeks to shed light on their evolving roles and significance in the region.

At the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, Zhanibek aims to undertake a comparative study of regionalisation processes in Central Asia and ASEAN, highlighting their similarities and differences.

Zhanibek teaches courses related to International Relations, such as Foreign Policy Analysis, Globalisation and Public Policy, and Research Methods. His teaching integrates theoretical insights with practical applications to foster a comprehensive understanding of global and regional policy issues.
