The Executive Development Programme on Public Policy and Management (EDP) is based on a curriculum that provides strong conceptual foundations for analysis, management and advocacy. It will further focus on methods and case studies that are particularly relevant to the issues and challenges faced by Negara Brunei Darussalam. The curriculum is based on the overarching objective of preparedness for the challenges that Brunei would face in the next stage of Brunei’s national development.

The EDP was first launch in 2004 as a result of collaborative efforts between Ministry of Defence, Brunei (MinDef), and Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKY School), National University of Singapore. Now in its 12th edition, 26 participants from Brunei Darussalam and other regional countries, comprising senior officials from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC), Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Religious Affairs, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Development, as well as sponsored military officers from China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam had been nominated to take part in this year’s EDP. The participants’ diverse backgrounds and expertise serves as an important component to further enrich their learning journey throughout the 3 months programme.
