Asia Competitiveness Institute, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, was pleased to welcome the visit of a distinguished delegation from Saudi Arabia on 25 September 2023. The delegation comprised HE Dr Majid AlKassabi, Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the National Competitiveness Center (NCC), HE Dr Eiman AlMutairi, Vice Minister of Commerce & CEO of the National Competitiveness Center, and Dr Abdulrahman Alamri, Deputy Minister for International Cooperation, Ministry of Education. Prof Paul Cheung, Director of the Asia Competitiveness Institute (ACI), hosted and met the delegation, together with LKYSPP’s Vice Dean (Executive Education) and Associate Professor in Practice, Francesco Mancinias well as LKYSPP’s Head of Strategic Planning and Government Relations, Mr Chivy Li.
Prof Cheung presented ACI’s research directions and current projects to the delegation and discussed potential research collaborations between ACI and NCC. Assoc Prof Mancini shared the school’s expertise and experiences in providing training courses for government officials from Saudi Arabia. Minister AlKassabi expressed NCC’s strong interest in collaborating with ACI in joint research and training activities.
