The well-being of a nation is significantly influenced by the values that are uppermost in the minds of its citizens. Understanding how they perceive the current state of values and what their desired set of values is provides a way for policymakers, academics, business and community leaders to talk about the direction in which their country might evolve.
IPS and aAdvantage are partnering to present the results of a recent survey called the National Values Assessment (Singapore 2012) that was conducted among 2000 Singapore residents on values recently to kick-off such a discussion.
aAdvantage is a business consulting firm. It conducted this first nation-wide survey together with Barretts Values Centre (BVC) the originator of this tool that has conducted similar surveys in Canada, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
In the survey, respondents indicated their views on the values and behaviour that best describe them, their workplace and Singapore. They also indicated the values and behaviour they wished for at their workplace and in the country.
There will be a presentation of the survey results and commentary from two or three thought-leaders after which there will be an open discussion.
This event is open to media coverage.
