The End of Chimerica: Impact on China and Collateral Damage Globalisation & De-Globalisation

In the past two years tensions between the US and China have been rising.  The trade war has been gradually spilled over in a technology war, and the US has now designated China as a strategic competitor. Even though a trade deal was announced on October 11, 2019, the impact of already imposed tariffs and uncertainty on the direction of the conflict is taking its toll. This presentation explores the causes and Economic consequences of the evolving trade war.
