State of Climate Action

Levin’s presentation will provide an overview of the transformational changes needed to limit global temperature rise to 1.5°C. The presentation will first provide an overview of our current emissions trajectory and then assess the pace of action on mitigation to date in key, emissions-intensive sectors and compare it with where the world needs to go by 2030 and by 2050 to help limit global warming to 1.5°C. It will discuss key enablers and barriers to action describe some of the activities that the Bezos Earth Fund is pursuing to transform systems to meet climate, nature and equity goals.
