Executive Education Singapore Futures has launched the second run of the Singapore Futures Youth Competition and invite you to become a participant. This year’s competition theme is “Towards a Sustainable and Resilient Singapore 2050”, which challenges you to envision Singapore's sustainable development in the future. As future leaders of Singapore, youths play a critical role in driving environmental change to build a more sustainable future for Singapore. It is important to onboard youths into public policy discourse and challenges in combating the climate crisis. Participating in this competition empower youth to imagine the future and innovate creative solutions for a more sustainable and resilient Singapore in 2050.
The Singapore Futures Youth Competition 2022 is a 5-day online event, from 6 to 10 June. The competition will begin with a 3-day futures thinking workshop run by the LKYSPP faculty. You will learn the necessary tools and framework to build scenarios and present them to esteemed leaders from public and private sectors in the preliminary and final rounds of the competition.
Throughout this competition, you will be introduced to public policy challenges, futures thinking, and the complexities of the policymaking process. You will also have the opportunities to interact with your peers from an array of educational institutes, as well as network with leaders from public and private sectors. This competition will be held virtually using a variety of online platforms such as Zoom and Miro. Participants will have the chance to win prizes worth up to $5,000, receive a certificate of participation, and receive opportunities to join LKYSPP’s network.
Students who are currently enrolled in any post-secondary/pre-tertiary educational institutes in Singapore are eligible to sign up. Interested students are required to sign up individually through the link below by 8 April 2022. The selection process will be conducted on an individual basis based on the short essay as part of the registration form. Successful participants will be notified via email by 9 May 2022. All participants are expected to commit to the entire duration of the competition.
