Session 3 - Towards a New World Order? (16th Anniversary)

The Covid-19 pandemic has thrown into sharp relief the problem of world order. The US-led order has been under challenge, not least by the United States itself, especially under President Donald Trump. Nearly a year into the pandemic and after a possibly pivotal US presidential race, it is time to take stock of where the world finds itself, geopolitically and economically. In addition, what kinds of futures seem possible and what overall sets of values, rules, and institutions seem likely to emerge? Finally, what are the implications of the changes for Singapore and its Southeast Asian neighbours?
