Everyone striking a happy pose for the camera in front of Museo Pambata – the Philippines’ pioneering children’s museum.
On 13 December 2015, several alumni and students of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKY School) who are living in the Philippines, gathered to share happiness and joy with approximately 30 students of the Pio del Pilar Elementary School and members of the deaf community of Don Bosco in Makati City.
The LKY School Philippines Alumni Chapter, with the support of the LKY School Alumni Relations Team, sponsored a trip to the Children’s Museum (Museo Pambata) in Manila City, as part of the Chapter’s annual gathering. It was a fun-filled day of gaming and learning as the participants explored the hands-on museum, where they even got to view the special SG@50 exhibit in the museum.

The President of the Philippines Alumni Chapter, Ms Rowena Tan, first talked briefly about the LKY School and the reason behind organising such charity events as a highlight of the Chapter’s annual Christmas gathering. The rest of the alumni then led the participants as they played the icebreaker games, where a handful of prizes were being distributed, bringing glowing smiles to the children.
