The LKY School Philippines Alumni Chapter held its first ever incoming students send-off on 4 July 2015 at the TAT Japanese Restaurant in Makati City.
Seven incoming students from the different programmes of the LKY School attended the Bon Voyage Luncheon and alumni orientation, which was organised to help the new students adjust to study life in Singapore.
The event provided relevant information to the incoming students on school life and studies in Singapore. The discussion topics included expectations, accommodation, transportation, class schedules, places to eat, and other related concerns of the new students. It concluded with a lively Q&A session where the alumni shared their personal experiences to help them adjust to student life while in Singapore.
The incoming students were thankful for the opportunity of being hosted by the alumni before they left for Singapore. It was also a wonderful platform for them to get to know fellow incoming students and alumni.
This send-off event was one of the highlights of the Philippines Alumni Chapter this term. Look out for more activities lined up in the coming months, among which is a gathering of alumni as part of Singapore’s SG50 celebration in August.
