The newly elected and appointed LKY India Alumni committee for 2020-22 hosted their first event on 13 June 2020. The event was an “Online mixer” which was attended by 29 alumni from different parts of the country spanning across batches as old as 2010 to the latest graduates of 2020.
The event started with a brief introduction by the new Alumni committee. The attendees were then divided across several smaller groups for more meaningful and personal discussion among themselves. This unique method of virtual networking received great response from the participants and many of them requested for more such virtual networking sessions going forward.
Towards the end of the session, the new committee presented their plan for the coming months and collected feedback and suggestions from attendees on several important aspects such as preferred timing of the events, type of events, and alumni data management.
The committee signed off by announcing their next event to be held in coming two weeks which is going to be a panel discussion on “COVID-19 insights and contribution by LKYSPP alumni in India”
