The LKYSPP Alumni Malaysia Chapter organised a virtual Welcoming Session for New Students on Friday, 16 July 2021. The Welcoming Session had become part of the Chapter’s tradition, with the first session in 2019 conducted in physical presence by the then Committee members. However, due to the current pandemic situation, the second (2020) and third (2021) sessions were held virtually via Zoom.
The session aimed to provide an introductory platform for the incoming students to get to know the School by way of experience and sharing by Committee members as well as current students.
A total of 15 participants consisted of 6 incoming students, 2 current students and 7 Committee members interacted and discussed various topics such as accommodation, life in LKYSPP, subjects and choice of electives and instructors as well as the IT systems used for studies.
Current students (Mr. Ryan Chua, MPA and Mr. Gabriel Chen, MPP) were gracious in helping out by updating everyone on the revised administrative procedures practiced by the School in adapting to the pandemic situation and also other practical logistics information.
