The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is an international financial institution and specialised UN agency that has the global experience in developing rural areas and strengthening rural economies. Our speakers from IFAD, Ms. Kim Hoonae and Mr. Ron Hartman, will be sharing on the work that IFAD does, what IFAD looks for when hiring new employees, the hiring process and what's trending in the international development space in Asia and the Pacific Region. Ms. Kim will also be sharing on how she started her career at the World Bank as the first Korean woman to be selected as a Young Professional. She subsequently went on to take up several leadership positions, having served two consecutive three-year term as a member of the World Bank's Sanctions Board and served on the Agriculture and Rural Sector and Environment Sector Boards of the World Bank. Ms. Kim will also share her perspectives on what students who wish to establish their careers in international organisations should know.
