This lunchtime talk will give insights into (i) what working in the Asian Development Bank (ADB) is like, based on the panelists’ personal experiences and (ii) explore what are some different entry points into the bank, such as through the Young Professional Programme, direct hire and internships. Tina, who is also our MPP alumni, will share on her entry into ADB through the Young Professional Programme (YPP) and what public policy students should know about the vigorous YPP process. Ian will speak on his switch as a mid-careerist from GIC Private Limited into ADB and the learning curve he experienced during his first 90 days assimilating into the ADB culture. The panel will be joined by one MPP student, Liu Man, who recently did her internship at ADB during the summer vacation in 2017. Liu Man will share about her ADB learning journey from the initial interview phase to the eventual onboarding and what one may expect from an ADB internship.
